How the app works and data collection
Näkörata-tutkimus is the research version of the Näkörata app, which was developed for lip-reading practice. The app stores usage data and exercise results in the device’s own memory for research purposes. At the end of the study, the results are transferred directly from the phone to the researchers, either by cable or via Bluetooth.
The app downloads videos from a server located in Finland. The service provider, Louhi Networks, may store the user’s IP address when videos are downloaded. Outloud cannot link IP addresses to individual users.
Advertisements and purchases
The app contains no advertisements or in-app purchases.
