Which communication support methods could be useful at each stage of development? How do you know which method will work? Outloud’s Steps of Communication training explores communication development and its different stages. We consider which methods might suit each stage. The steps in communication support were developed in collaboration with the assistive technology centre and phoniatrics outpatient clinic at Tampere University Hospital (Tays). The working group included Sari Numminen, Jenni Himanka, Aino-Maija Parkkonen, Jaana Reuter and Ulla Sergejeff.
