Speech and language therapy can take place at home, at nursery, at school or at our clinic. Outloud’s speech and language therapists work with children, young people and adults.

Communication difficulties can take many forms
Speech and language therapy is always planned around the client’s strengths and interests. Goals are agreed with the client and the people around them, so that they are realistic and achievable. Once those goals have been reached, we plan the next steps.
People come to speech and language therapy when they have
- Delayed or atypical speech and language development as a child
- Difficulties with interaction or communication skills
- Difficulties with reading, reading comprehension or writing
- Difficulties understanding or producing speech
- A neurological condition that affects communication
